Founder @ Cooud

I build products end to end — payments, interfaces and native apps.

I'm Pedro, a self-taught founder and product engineer. I run Cooud, a checkout and payments platform for creators, and I'm building Cooud Exchange, Cronus UI and Halo. I care about systems that hold money correctly and interfaces that feel finished.

Cooud

Live · rebuilding

A platform for selling digital products in Brazil and abroad: checkout, order bumps, one-click upsell, subscriptions, affiliates, a members area and mobile apps for sellers.

Founder. Led product and front end with a small team on the first platform; architect and sole engineer of the 2026 rebuild.

  • Node 24
  • Fastify
  • Next.js 16
  • Astro
  • Postgres 17
  • pg-boss
  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • Every sale runs as one transaction: order, revenue split and a double-entry ledger, then settlement, risk reserve and payout.
  • Multi-tenant Postgres with row-level security forced on 52 tables, proven by automated checks against deliberately broken cases.
  • 22 architecture decision records, 20 runbooks and a backup-restore drill that verifies money balances.
  • 124k lines of source backed by 74k lines of tests, plus an accessibility audit of 30 routes in both themes.
  • Native members-area app in SwiftUI; seller apps for iOS and Android.
02Crypto exchange

Cooud Exchange

In development

A custodial crypto exchange built inside the Cooud ecosystem: accounts, order book, deposits and withdrawals across multiple chains.

Founder and engineer.

  • TypeScript
  • Postgres
  • EVM
  • Bitcoin
  • Solana
  • Order-matching engine with the order book and balances kept in Postgres transactions.
  • Deposit scanners for EVM chains, Bitcoin and Solana, plus a withdrawal broadcaster.
  • Solvency checks that compare what users are owed with what the platform holds.
  • About 700 commits so far.
03Product UI system

Cronus UI

v0.7.6 on npm

Design tokens, a live theme runtime and accessible React components, distributed both as npm packages and as a shadcn-style copy-in registry. It started as Cooud's internal design system.

Creator and maintainer.

  • React 19
  • Radix
  • CVA
  • Tailwind v4
  • Turborepo
  • Bun
  • MCP
  • 9 packages: tokens, theme, components, CLI, app scaffolder, stack builder, AI kit and an MCP server.
  • Runtime theming through CSS variables only, so switching themes never re-renders React.
  • npx create-cronus-app scaffolds a full SaaS app; the MCP server lets coding agents browse the registry.
  • This site is built with it.

Halo

Coming soon

Halo Island turns the notch into a Dynamic Island. Halo Launch brings back the Launchpad that macOS 26 removed.

Solo: design, engineering and release pipeline.

  • Swift
  • SwiftUI
  • AppKit
  • Core Audio
  • IOKit
  • Sparkle
  • Now Playing, volume and brightness overlays, per-app sound mixer, file shelf, clipboard history, camera mirror and live activities.
  • Launcher with folders, search, a clean uninstaller and iCloud layout sync.
  • About 0.5% CPU and 33 MB of memory at rest.
  • Signed and notarized universal builds, delta auto-updates and a Homebrew tap.

Labs

Experiments and tools

Smaller things I build to learn, or to build everything else faster.

iOS · in progress

SQL learning app

A gamified app for learning SQL. Student queries run in throwaway, network-isolated containers, covered by a 360-case isolation suite.

CRONUS language

A declarative language where one .cronus file compiles to a single Rust binary with SQLite, REST API, server-rendered HTML and auth. Forked from Emerson Previatto's original; I've added about 560 commits.

ForgeOS

My AI-assisted engineering system. It routes tasks across Claude, Codex and local models by cost and risk, with versioned memory and an eval gate.

Arch + Hyprland setup with a CLI that gives each coding agent its own git worktree and container.

How I work

AI-native, spec-first

01

Decisions in writing

Architecture decision records, runbooks and specs come before code, so agents and people build against the same contract.

02

Agents in parallel

I run several coding agents at once, each in its own worktree, behind quality gates that block regressions.

03

Proof over claims

Security and money rules get tests that try to break them. Accessibility and layout get audited, not assumed.

Journey

From HTML to payments in two years

  1. Early 2024

    Taught myself to code

HTML and CSS courses, then JavaScript, React and Java through Rocketseat, DIO and a lot of small projects.

  2. Late 2024

    Started Cooud

Went from building websites to building a company: the first version of what became Cooud.

  3. 2025

    Payments in production

Built Cooud's dashboard, checkout and members area, and learned to run a platform with a small team.

  4. 2026

    Systems, open source and native

Rebuilt Cooud's core alone, published Cronus UI on npm and built native apps for macOS, iOS and Android.
